That Time I Won An Emmy for a TV show

For several years I was the editor, and then the Post Production Director for a regional TV show in New England. It was kind of like American Idol, but with a much longer history.

I worked as the director of post production and primary editor, meaning I take the show (which is shot live to tape) and assemble it, adding special segments and other elements. I also cut down the show to fit into a half hour time slot, and I had to work closely with the audio engineers to make sure what we were cutting or adding could be mixed to sound and feel like a live show.

I won a Boston/New England regional Emmy for Best Audio (as the director of post production) in 2013. I was nominated for Best Director, Post Production in 2011,2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. The show ceased airing in 2016.
