Storytime With Will

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was encouraged by a friend of mine to read children's stories on YouTube. Many people find reading out loud to be hard, or don't have as much time to spend reading to their kids. But kids love hearing stories. So I figured it was a way I could help out with the stress and strangeness of the lockdowns and change in patterns. After all, I have a unique set of skills to be able to do that sort of thing! I can shoot video and I am a voiceover actor, so reading stories on video works.

I shoot and edit the videos, and my friend and colleague Rui Pinho creates the wonderful thumbnails for each video.

I have kept it up since March 2020, though with less frequency as time has gone on (I started with a story every week day, and then gradually went to one per week).

Below is a feed of the channel on YouTube. I've heard from people who watch in South Korea, Canada, the Czech Republic and many other places, as well as here in the US.

So, check them out, and share with your kids (or listen for yourself, cause who doesn't like a good story!).

Stay safe, and stay healthy!
